“Hope” is the thing with feathers -
That perches in the soul -
And sings the tune without the words -
And never stops - at all -
And sweetest - in the Gale - is heard -
And sore must be the storm -
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm -
I’ve heard it in the chillest land -
And on the strangest Sea -
Yet - never - in Extremity,
It asked a crumb - of me.

Thank you for visiting my site, I am glad you found yourself here. I am passionate about the betterment of our community and providing hope and support to individuals, couples and families to create more meaningful lives and fulfilling relationships.
A Holistic Approach to Healing
I love all things connecting; to self, to others, to community, and to nature. I seek connection and understanding in all areas of my life, from continually working to build a mindfulness practice, to being in touch with nature, to understanding the complexities of the human experience, and more. I am passionate about sharing the gifts I have received in my life with others, in order to be better equipped to handle the moments of utter heartbreak and the moments of joy.
I know from personal experience that it can be challenging to reach out for support when we are in emotional and physical pain. It can take over our entire being, affecting everything from our ability to brush our teeth, to impacting our desire to work, to our ability to reach out to others and have relationships with our partners, family or friends. I have benefited greatly from guidance from others in many forms. I have learned how to navigate through the world of anxiety, pain, and despair by adopting a holistic approach to healing. One of mind, body, heart, and soul. This allows me to be kinder to myself, my partner, my children and to the world around me.
It is an honor and gift to me to be on this journey with those who choose to bring me along.
My Path to Therapy
I am a graduate of the University of Oregon where I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Developmental Psychology. I continued my education in advanced training at the Denver Family Institute in Marriage and Family Therapy earning a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. I hold a license in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT). I also have experience working as a therapeutic playgroup instructor, mentor, parent coach, as well as foster care support, and as an individual, couples and family therapist. I welcome all configurations of relationships who are interested in alleviating pain in their lives.
I believe that we heal within relationships, primarily within our relationship to ourselves, and then within our relationships with others, as well as our relationships with our community and environment. Healing can occur on many levels.
I am passionate about working with individuals, couples and families who want to build stronger connections to themselves and others, and who are interested in understanding the patterns of their lives and what influences their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I utilize techniques from a variety of strength based, feminist, parts work, humanistic, family systems, trauma-informed and attachment theories. I enjoy the uniqueness of each individual, couple, dyad or family that is willing to share their journey with me and I tailor my work as such to each. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach, except for approaching everyone I work with, with compassion, empathy and understanding. I feel honored to be accepted into the lives of my clients and to share in the pains and joys of their lives.
I am a hope holder, I will hold hope for you, as growth, healing, and change are possible. I believe this because I have experienced the gift of hope and guidance of others through my own pain. We have the power to make positive changes in our lives that will impact us on a profound level, and as a result, those positive changes radiate out from us, impacting the gifts we bring to our work, families and relationships. When one part heals, many may follow. Even though we may have opportunities for growth I believe we are not broken.
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation so we may have the opportunity to see if we are a fit for one another and you may ask me any questions you may have. Please email me or call me directly so we may start you down the path of healing.
